Baby Belly Fat

BellyFat

If you’re someone who has never before had weight problems but are now suffering from baby belly fat you may be wondering what you can do. It’s normal for women to gain weight during their pregnancy and most of the time this extra weight disappears some time after giving birth. But this doesn’t happen with all women!

Some never seem to lose that weight at all, but it does take effort to make it happen. The longer you let your baby belly fat remain the harder it will be to get rid of down the line.

You shouldn’t try to eliminate your baby belly fat with exercise immediately after the birth of your baby, it isn’t going to work. You may hear in magazines that top models and famous celebrities lose their baby belly fat in just two months after giving birth, but this isn’t common and is certainly not healthy. If you gave birth via a caesarian exercise for up to three months, or even more, is going to be impossible.

If it’s been a year since your baby was born and you’re still having trouble shedding that baby belly fat try a more gradual approach by losing only a pound or two each month. Any slow weight loss is healthier in the long term.

One way in which a woman can avoid weight gain after birth is to stay active during her pregnancy, walking, tennis, golf, any form of light exercise will do. Since a baby means carrying an extra 10 pounds of weight any activity could almost be considered weightlifting! Another option is exercise classes that allow you to take your baby with you and teach you exercises you can do while holding your baby. This can also be a great way for you to bond with your baby.

Once your baby begins moving on its own you’ll definitely get exercise just trying to keep up with it. It’s like exercise you don’t even know you’re doing!
